This allium has quite a few nicknames and is also known as drumsticks and bullet eye. The Sphaerocephalon looks a bit fragile but it is a very strong allium! It is about 75 centimeters long, has a thin dark green stem and a special ovoid bud. The bud starts green but turns purple from top to bottom when the flowers open.
